Heavy Vehicle Marketplace

Listing rules

Short version: list real machines and real parts, describe them honestly, price them yourself, deal directly with buyers. Disclose finance owing, write-off history and anything structural. The rest below.

Welcome here

  • Trucks, prime movers, trailers, buses, vans and light commercials
  • Earthmoving and construction plant, attachments, and agricultural machinery
  • Heavy vehicle parts: engines, gearboxes, diffs, axles, cabs, hydraulics, tyres and rims, panels and electrical
  • New, used, reconditioned and exchange parts, with the condition stated
  • Dealers, wreckers and dismantlers, provided each listing is a real item at a real price

Not allowed

  • Stolen vehicles or plant, and anything you cannot lawfully sell. VIN, chassis, engine and serial numbers must be intact and must match the compliance plate
  • Wound-back hour meters or odometers, and rebirthed or identity-swapped units
  • A vehicle or machine under finance advertised as unencumbered. If there is money owing, say so and settle it at payout
  • A statutory write-off offered as a roadworthy vehicle, and any listing that hides a written-off, flood or fire history
  • Counterfeit parts sold as genuine, including brake, steering and lifting components where a fake can kill someone
  • Brake and clutch linings containing asbestos, which cannot lawfully be sold or imported in Australia
  • Components that are cracked, structurally repaired or beyond wear limits, sold without saying so. Chassis rails, brake components, lifting gear, tow couplings and hitches must be described accurately
  • Weapons, chemicals, or anything unrelated to heavy vehicles and machinery
  • Placeholder, joke or duplicate listings, and listings whose real purpose is advertising another business

Moderation

Listings go live immediately and are reviewed after publication. Reported listings are checked first. A listing that breaks these rules is removed; a seller who repeatedly breaks them loses the account. Report anything that looks wrong with the report link on the listing - reports are anonymous to the seller.
