Established in 1860, this is the largest agricultural show in South Australia outside the Royal Adelaide Show, drawing around 10,000 visitors. The society explicitly lists indoor and outdoor trade exhibits as a main feature alongside beef and dairy cattle, horses, sheep, yard dog trials and log chopping. The outdoor trade area is where machinery, forestry and agricultural equipment dealers display to the Green Triangle's farming and timber industries. It is the anchor event for the lower South East.
