The driver-level Basic Fatigue Management unit TLIF0005 Apply a fatigue risk management system, delivered face to face in a half-day morning session. It teaches drivers to recognise and act on the signs of fatigue, plan trips, work within a fatigue risk management system and keep compliant work diary records. Assessment includes a theory test plus a literacy and numeracy check, with a statement of attainment issued on passing. This is the unit heavy vehicle drivers need to operate under BFM hours in an NHVAS-accredited fleet.
